GREAT NEWS for - Rotary District 5690, Rotary Clubs of Buenos Aires, Argentina and David, Panamá, Wichita Public Schools, and Rotary Intercountry Teacher Exchange (RITE):
- February 1, 2005, local Wichita TV Channel 12 filmed RITE teacher Adriana Vocaturo with the Rotary teacher exchange program teaching English to Spanish speaking parents of Irving Elementary students.
- Special credit was given to Rotary International for sponsoring the four week teacher exchange program.
- There were great audio close ups of:
- Adriana teaching
- Adriana on the purpose of the teacher exchange program
- One of her students explaining the importance of learning English and why she was fortunate to have Adriana as her teacher of English.
- The special segment was aired on the
- 6:00 PM news
- 10:00 PM news
- 6:00-7:00 AM news (and 3 times at 30 minute newsbreak intervals)
